Liebherr U.S. OPEN/ITTF Pro Tour

Once again the Robo-Pong by Newgy Industries crew went on the road to
attend the US OPEN. This year instead of heading north to the windy
city of Chicago we headed south and to an even windier Ft. Lauderdale
for the Liebherr US OPEN / ITTF Pro Tour! But even hurricane Dennis
could not deter the hardy table tennis players from making the trek
to Florida. From Belarus to India and back some of the best players
in the world were there to play.
With the addition of a video presentation and a busy PONG-MASTER challenge,
the buzz was constant at the Robo-Pong booth. Several members of the
Junior International teams from Barbados, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras,
Jamaica and Puerto Rico battled back and forth to have the best score
amongst their peers. Winning the prize of two-dozen balls was icing
on the cake for many of those who tried to beat PONG-MASTER. The focus
of Carolyn Cedero-Lugo caught the attention of the Robo-Pong crew almost
as quickly as the trophy she brought back to our booth after winning
her age group!
Many thanks to all our new and current customers who took the time to
stop by and say “HI”. As a special treat to many of our
commissioned sales staff, they finally got to put a person to the voice
who often guides them along as Denna England made her first trip to
a major event and she is looking forward to participating in another
soon.
Current US Olympic
and National Men’s Team coach Dan Seemiller and Killerspin player
Barney J. Reed both stopped by for an update on the Robo-Pong Open coming
up the 16th–18th of September. Both Dan and Barney will be sharing
their hard work ethics at the Players’ and Coaching clinics featuring
Robo-Pong robots.
